Big sour cherry on the nose. Herb-tinged palate with cherry and tobacco with some sage and light cocoa. Some blue fruit on the finish. Nice. Not super complex, but tasty and well suited for food. 6/23/12
Subtle nose of bright red fruit, dusty earth, and some white pepper. On the palate, brightly acidic, with cherry, cherry, and some more cherry. Not a lot of complexity here, but nicely balanced and drinkable. My only complaint is its high alcohol content, at 14.5%, it makes this Pinot a bit too hot, though this is a typical expression of Napa's high-ripeness trend. I would rate this an 87-88.
