Appearance: Intense red with a brick-orange disk. Tears take a while to form, are somewhat thin and have medium space between them. Smell: Very light, very fruity (very beaujolais). At once we are dominated by the cherry smell. It gets a little jammy, then finally a light tobacco scent. Taste: A little too acid but has a great bitterness. It is soft in the mouth. Cherries are still present, though very green. The cherries get complemented by a soft anise taste. Both fade and the bitterness returns in the end. Lingers for a medium amount of time. Overall: Best beaujolais I tasted, had it with fish, and during dessert I finished the bottle. Went very well with both. It is ready to drink and should not be stored.
