Beaujolais Rouge Domaine Picotin 2006

Winemaker's Notes:

Tasting Notes: Tasting notes : A rich ruby hue with sharp purple nuances. The aromatic register opens with a fanfare of a floral cascade and fresh fruit,. Crushed strawberry and peony predominate. The wine is cheerful without being overbearing. From the first contact with the palate, we appreciate its very fresh and thirst-quenching character. Let us fall for the charm of the Gamay in its most joyful incarnation. It has all the delight of a fleshy black cherry. It could be by definition the universal red wine. Let us marry this wine without apology to the finest dishes, a angler-fish in parchment paper crystallized peppers, or grilled meats. Percentage Grape: Grape variety : 100% Gamay Age of the vines: 50 years old Yields : 48 hectoliters par hectare Soil: Location : north of lyon, in the southern part of the beaujolais appellation, right bank of the rhone.
