Beaujolais Michel Guignier 2014

Winemaker's Notes:

"The "straight" Beaujolais bottling from Michel Guignier is always well-made in my experience and the 2014 is excellent. The bouquet wafts from the glass in a lovely, youthful mélange of red and black cherries, a touch of currant leaf, lovely soil tones, woodsmoke, fresh herbs and a touch of sweet cranberry. On the palate the wine is fullish, succulent and tangy, with a lovely core, impressive complexity, with a solid core, just a touch of tannin and a long, youthful finish. This is very tasty and will be even better with a year or two in the bottle. I have to give it a very slight nod over the equally well-made 2013" - John Gilman
