Beaujolais Jadot 2007
I served this wine just slightly chilled compared to your average red wine. In the glass the wine is a vivid, translucent purplish red color. The nose shows pretty much only fruit scents with the trademark beaujolais traces of banana and tropical fruit, although they are much less pronounced than a Beaujolais Nouveau. There may be a little strawberry in the nose as well. Once in the mouth this wine shows more tannic backbone than its Beaujolais Nouveau cousin with a touch of dryness developing on the back of the palate. Berry fruit flavors predominate all around with appreciable but not excessive acidity. The finish is not bad at all for such an inexpensive wine, lasting at least thirty seconds if not longer. Overall, I consider this a consummate social wine that just about anyone would enjoy, even those that do not usually enjoy red wine. This wine is easy drinking and easy to understand. Ready to drink now.
This is becoming one of my favorite wines. It has a very fresh pleasing taste that makes you want to swirl it around your tongue to treat all your taste-buds. I try new wines all the time but I keep coming back to this one.
After reading about Beaujolais I tried this vintage on a hot summer night. I did not chill it (like I should and will next time), but I did find this wine very refreshing with some real backbone too. I will be keeping a few bottles on hand for the rest of the summer months.
I really loved the earth tones in this wine, where do I find more like it.
as others have said, it is a light, crisp, go-to wine that doesn't overwhelm, and is refreshing and easy to drink
Sadly disappointing. Slightly yeasty odor (yet not corked). Too thin and light, and flavors were not what I would expect from a French wine.
Three and a half glasses

Wine Tasting NotesThis brilliant garnet wine is bright and fresh, with ripe, supple crushed strawberry flavors underscored by zesty nuances of peppercorns, gentle tannins and a clean acidity, finishing on a succulent, refreshing note.
A classic Beaujolais: Juicy strawberries and clean, "dusty" earthy notes, crisp and mouth-watering, refreshing and balanced.
