User Reviews for Beaujolais Blanc

Winemaker's Notes:

Tasting Notes: With its lemon colouring, this cuvee catches the light the light, attractively. The the nose sharply evokes freshness with some floral notes (hawthorn, acacia) then opens on to a register of generous fruits: white peaches, apricot and orange marmalad. From this very well-balanced wine, the freshness of the Â"noseÂ" is confirmed on the palate, fixed by an omnipresent alcohol. The aromatic personality is very close to that of the grape, resembling the chardonnay berry at the point of maturity, offering aromas of orange pulp, and white flowers. The medium length will allow the wine to open over time. Offer this wine as an aperitif , together with a salmon in a fennel seed sauce or a plump fish in a beurre blanc (possibly flavoured with aniseed or coloured with saffron), and a goat's cheese. Percentage Grape: 100 % Chardonnay Age of the vines : 50% planted in 1988 et 50% planted in 1999 Yields : 70 hectoliters par hectare Soil: Location : north of lyon, in the southern part of the beaujolais appellation, right bank of the rhone. East exposed, on the commune of Lucenay and Anse Soil : limestone & clay Date of Harvest: september 9th 2005 Type of Harvest: mechanical Vinification Method: Vinification : immediate pressing after mechanical harvest. 10 days of vating at a controlled temperature of 20°C (68 F°) Type of ageing : maturation in concrete tank for 6 months Date of Bottling: march 2006 Alcohol Percentage: 12 % Cork Material: normacorc
