Food Pairings for Bearboat Pinot Noir Russian River Valley
You immediately notice it's pale-ruby coloring and its strong bouquet of fresh, lush strawberries. This wine is extremely silky as it moves across the palate and you will be sure to taste strawberries, sweet toffee and vanilla that lead into a balanced mouth-watering acidity. Unlike most Pinot Noirs, this finishes off with refined tannins that give this delicious wine a lingering, elegant finish.
Boring. Not what I'd expect from a $15 Pinot Noir.
Mildly interesting Pinot Noir-- a little on the thin side in terms of mouth feel and also flavor intensity. Just doesn't compare to the Washington and Oregon PNs. Also, what a goofy label! Anybody else getting increasingly annoyed with the vacuous nonsense people are putting on the back of a bottle?
This pinot is like cherries wrapped in velvet, covered in smoke. I loved it, and for the price it's hard to beat!
Nose of cherry, first mouth feel is thin, but packed with cherry, strawberry, touch of vanilla, and meat. Finishes with very crisp acidity and hint of tannins. I think this still has some bottle age left and would love to have a few to put down for 2 years.
This is a very good pinot noir, pairs nicely with pork chop/loin. It has a smooth finish. I enjoyed letting it rest on my tongue for a few seconds to thoroughly enjoy the finish.
This wine was really crisp and had just the right amount of spice. It's not very sweet, and the fruit flavors seemed to suggest dried berries, concentrated a bit and lacking sugar. The tannins balance well, slightly acidic, and soft mouth feel. Had with BBQ chicken. Yum.

Aside from being a great image Bearboat is a great and affordable Pinot Noir. Whether it's their Russian River Valley or Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir we promise you will not be sorry for trying Bearboat.
A very nice Pinot, actually Bearboat's best yet, that shows the dry silkiness of a fine Russian River Pinot, and also some complex layers of flavor. Cherries, rhubarb, pomegranates, orange zest, herb tea, clove and pepper all mingle together, enlivened by crisp acidity.
Produced in the Russian River Valley of California, Bearboat Pinot Noir is a brilliant ruby-red in color. Upon first swirl, the scent of raspberries and the French oak in which it was aged for 10 months leap from the glass. Fresh raspberries are not only present in the aroma, but also in the flavor, as well as luscious cherries and strawberries. Light in tannins, it is easy to drink and has a smooth finish.
A beautiful red wine, the Bearboat Pinot Noir has a brilliant cherry-like color. Aging in French oak for 10 months has given it just a hint of warm toast on the nose. Flavors of wild strawberries and raspberries are followed by a subtle hint of black licorice. Enjoy this perfectly balanced wine with grilled lamb or roast pork.
There's enough fruit in this simple, soda-like Pinot Noir to start an orchard. It has candied flavors of raspberries, red cherries, strawberries and cola, with oak contributing the usual caramel and vanilla. But it sure is tasty.
Clear pale ruby color with pronounced strawberry, and bing cherry aromas. Delicate body, well balanced acidity and lingering finish of strawberries and hint of vanilla spice.
