Winemaker Notes - Bearboat Pinot Noir was aged for ten months in French oak and carefully fined before its release. While the color is a brilliant red reminiscent of black cherries, the nose offers hints of warm toast and cassis. Bearboat Pinot Noir has a mouth of fresh strawberries and raspberries while delicate suggestions of black licorice enhance the lingering finish. Clear pale ruby color with pronounced strawberry, and bing cherry aromas. Delicate body, well balanced acidity and lingering finish of strawberries and hint of vanilla spice. -95% Pinot Noir, 5% Old Vine Gamay Beaujolais Grapes are 100% cool climate Russian River with 50% hillside fruit, which yields concentrated fruit rich in flavor and tannin. Yields are kept low at approximately 3 tons/acre. Fruit is harvested by hand in small containers with the philosophy that higher attention to detail yields higher quality.
