The nose hinted at strawberry and a nutty warmth. Simple, sweet flavor profile with apple peel, pear, green grapes and very mild tannins. Would make a lovely "wine o'clock" wine but wouldn't pair it for dinner. Let breathe for a while before enjoying.
I'm usually not a fan of red wines, but this one I found to be surprisingly good and really cheap! for a good review, check out bottom of the barrel, a smart wine blog: http://winecasualty.tumblr.com/day/2010/12/11
Slight nutty taste. Good strong character. Crowd pleaser.
