Gee whiz, I hope someday to be a pretentious nerd pretending to only drink the very finest of vintages while trolling wine boards hoping to get the respect and attention that I am denied in real llife... Until then, I'll just drink this three buck a bottle BayBridge and put my funds into something more of an asset than overly expensive "must-have" wines that my pretentious acquaintances sip. (Suckers!!!!!!)
Bay Bridge wines are very nice smooth wines and a great value. There is no comparison between them and other wines I've tried in the same price range. Great every day table wine!
Leftover wine from xmas. Got it from a poor friend. I usually drink Moet. Thought of discarding it. Decided to open it and taste it. First impression -> must be cheap sh&*%$t, yak! The cork came off very easily... maybe too easily. Nose is below decent. Taste is okay for a $3 bottle. Would not recommend. I guess, you could use it for marinading meat, maybe a steak, not filet mignon, but sirloin. I am drinking my first glass at the moment while typing this on 1/5/10 at 11:08pm, I doubt I will finish the bottle. I am afraid of hangover with this stuff... all in all, taste is surprisingly okay, however I recommend to skip...
I actually enjoyed this wine. I thought it had a lovely soft flavor, detected no "offs" and at 3.00/bottle no less! Now if you're a connoisseur the price is going to put you off, and of course you'lll think its lousy. But for us regular people; a pretty good wine, at a rock bottom price!!
I have had Caymus, Cakebread and many Alexander Valley and Russian River Valley wines for $100 + per bottle. I think Bay Bridge Cab and Merlot are just as good. And $3 is great for us "poor people".
considering that i got it on sale for three dollars i would possibly buy it again when I'm low on funds.
