External Reviews for Baus Family Vineyards Alexander Valley Chardonnay
Upon opening, the wine has delicate aromas of ripe pear and fresh apples. It is crisp and vibrant in the midpalate, with great balance and full flavors. Packed with layers of tropical fruit and buttered toast; the finish is crisp, dry and lengthy. Serve this with arugula salad with fresh pear, candied pecans, feta cheese and balsamic vinaigrette.
This delicious wine expresses well the ripe, upfront fruit flavors for which California Chardonnays are known. This is a full-bodied Chardonnay, showing generous notes of peach, apple and citrus on the palate with a touch of vanilla in the finish. These components are accompanied and enriched by a light buttery element. This wine would pair nicely with roast chicken or shrimp scampi.
Fresh aromas of Bartlett pear, lemon peel, clove and honeysuckle. Fruit forward flavors of peaches, pears, lime custard and vanilla all framed around the new oak with a creamy middle. The tropical fruit flavors display themselves at the end with a gratifying finish. Serve it with steamed lobster, poached salmon and chicken picatta.
Pale gold in the glass; opens brightly with immediate hints of peach and green apple on the nose. Pleasantly weighty in the mouth and balanced by a sharp, flinty undercurrent. The body lengthens and transforms into a rounded, lightly buttery finish with notes of vanilla, lemongrass and hay. Irsquo;d pair this with grilled chicken, avocado chutney and tropical fruit salad.

What a fine Chardonnay from Alexander Valley! Aromas of ripe pear and citrus are evident from the start. Tropical fruits are abundant on the palate, along with creamy vanilla and toasty oak. This wine will pair well with shrimp or crab as well as any seafood dish.
