Batic Valentino Vipava Valley 2007

Winemaker's Notes:

A Slovenian dessert wine, from a blend of 50% Rebula and 50% Pinela grapes (a local Vipava varietal). Organic. Hand harvested in September 2007 and straw dried until May 2008 -- pressed and stored in Slovenian barrique oak barrels -- aging for 12 months. Alcohol 12.5%. Golden honey color, aromas of dried flowers, over-ripened. Dried white fruit, rich and balanced acidity with a colorful aromatic mosaic on the nose. Aging potential till 2050. Only 2.000 bottles produced and only 400 available to the U.S. market.
