Batard Montrachet Bernard Moreau 2013

Winemaker's Notes:

"The 2013 Chassagne Montrachet had been fined the previous week and was just about to be bottled. Raised in 20-25% new oak, this, the largest cuvee of the domaine at 30% of production, undergoes a longer barrel aging than the Saint Aubin En Remilly. It has a delightful bouquet: clean and pure with apricot and light fig scents infusing the citrus fruit. The palate offers commendable weight in the mouth, and as usual, the acidity here is very finely judged and lends the finish impressive tension. It might not have the complexity of Moreau's impressive premier cru, however, there is style and panache about this Chassagne Village, which comes highly recommended...91"WA 12/2014
