A straightforward, medium-bodied Merlot, with earthy smoked bacon notes mingling nicely with plum and sweet berrylike flavors. It is crisp, with moderate tannins and a pleasant finish.
This well-focused French red shows black cherry, meaty and herbal notes typical of the varietal, in a round, soft package that has just enough grip to accompany food. Fresh and flavorful, it's made for drinking now, at a price that invites you to imbibe freely.
