Barren Ridge Vineyards:
Located on the family’s former apple orchard, Barren Ridge Vineyards is now home to Augusta County’s Premier Winery. John and Shelby Higgs converted their vintage apple barn into a state-of-the-art winery, preserving the original structure and wood beams. The Tasting Room features delicately crafted wines that are available daily for tastings and complimentary tours.

Tasting Notes:

Featuring well-balanced, velvety tannins and a light sweetness, this blend of six red grapes reveals a round mid-palate with red fruits. It ends with a refreshing finish and is excellent as an aperitif.

Each varietal was fermented separately, allowing greater control over the parcels of fruit.
