Barren Jack Shiraz Cabernet Sauvignon

Member Review by WineoftheMonthClub:

This rating is for the Shiraz/Cabernet/Merlot, 2008. Barren Jack vintage, which we featured as one of our alternates in our Classic Series back in December 2009. The wine is a beautiful purple, has currant, black cherry, and cocoa in the nose, and clean cranberry with soft tannins on the palate. The finish is long and foreboding with cherry, vanillla, and earth. It's a versatile wine that is great with cheese and crackers at the start of a meal, with a tomato-based pasta dish, or with osso bucco.

Smooth to the palate with refreshing fruity taste, is an excellent wine always recommended to your friends and to the family.

“Barren Jack” is named after the original name for the dam now known as Burrinjack. This wine is blend of Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot.
