RiceSelect's creamy Arborio gets blended with sweet potato, coconut milk and vanilla to create this decadent cheesecake. Pairs well with Saunternes; a white dessert wine that has hints of coconut from aging in oak barrels.

Bought at the embattled and slightly down-at-heel Victoria Wine (Vicky Wine to us Glaswegians), this might not be showing its best owing to a somewhat sulkily humid in-shop environment, but it's a perfectly nice typical Italian food wine, with the nippy acidity you'd expect and enough chewy tannin and bright fruit to stand up to my arrabiata. Enjoyable, but pricey for what it is.
