Baron Philippe de Rothschild Red Bordeaux Blend Bordeaux Contrôlée Mouton Cadet 2008
Mouton Cadet Blanc has a brilliant, vivid color with pale gold highlights. The nose displays a rich palette of aromas, especially citrus and tropical fruit, set off by an elegant touch of green broom. Very smooth, it explodes with ripe fruit flavors on the palate, suggestive of grapefruit, mango and fresh apricot. Charm and roundness enfold the fruit on the rich and highly expressive finish.
The fruit and minerality of this wine balance beautifully. I have to say that I enjoy all wine varietals for all of their unique attributes, but to me, the Mouton Cadet Bordeaux Blanc is what a Sauvignon Blanc based blend should taste like. And you can't beat the price point!
Beautiful, light golden color. Very fruity aroma immediately upon opening. Pineapple and honeydew coming across on the nose. Crisp and refreshing, low alcohol (12%). If Italian Pinot Grigio and CA Sauvignon Blanc had a baby, it would taste like this! Great buy - absolutely enjoyed it!
Didn't work for me.
Soft, dark fruit on the nose, oak with maybe just a hint of dark cherry on the palate with a pleasing finish.
Ok, a little sour to me.
clean and slightly sweet, nice acidity

Color: A dense, brillian red with a purple tint. Nose: A fresh and harmonious nose, rich in ripe berry and red fruit aromas, especially black currant and morello cherry. Palate: The attack is supple and fruity, on jammy fruit, and the tannins are silky and well-rounded. The slightly spicy finish expresses all the distinctive character of ripe Merlot.
Wine Tasting NotesThe wine has a fine, deep red color, clean and brilliant, and a full, rich bouquet marked by berry fruit aromas. Round and well-balanced on the palate, it is both supple and generous, displaying great elegance and refinement. It has good aging potential and can be enjoyed for several years after the vintage date.
Mouton Rothschild's everyday drinking white Bordeaux; dry, crisp and full of delicious ripe melony fruit flavors; an excellent choice with a lightly grilled chicken.
