SARL Chateau Destin:
With more than a dozen medals after the first year' clock, Baron d'Escalin is a brand not to miss in the Rhone Valley. It has achieved a level not so often matched. This is the result of constant dedication to quality, a balance between powerful and fruity southern-style Grenache and spicy and floral northern-style Syrah.

Tasting Notes:

Mature Rhone-like red, complex and smooth rich and spicy. Grenache and Syrah in harmony, this “mini-Châteauneuf-dupape” is regularly a “coup de coeur” from the Guide Hachette. It has an intense, sweet, currant and dark, spicy plum and Christmas cake aroma with a very generous fruit quality. On the palate it is medium-bodied, but powerful and concentrated with masses of sweet fruit and extract, and a really ripe, pure, intense liquefied raisin core.
