The 2007 Reserva is aged for 20 months in new oak, which is carried well on the mulberry and dark plum-scented bouquet. The palate is finely balanced with caressing, very plush, rounded tannins and a sorbet-like freshness towards the finish. This is a commercially savvy, nigh irresistible Rioja. Drink now-2016. (raised in new American and French oak): Bright ruby-red. Oak-spiced aromas of cherry and dark berries, with a strong vanilla overtone. Lush and open-knit, with warm cherry-vanilla and blackberry flavors and notes of coconut and mocha. Shows good power on the finish but I worry about the oak here. ** SOLD OUT **

With an attractive red ruby color with medium-high intensity, in the nose it suprises for a powerful fruit remarkably blended with traces from its noble ageing: coconut and toffee, evolving into seductive nuances of spices and mediterranean bush. The attack is truly powerful and develops in the mouth a pleasant sensation of volume and onctuosity with drives us to a long finish, nervous and fresh due to its optimum acidity, and bringing back an aftertaste with red fruits and again mediterranean bushes.
