External Review by Great Wines Direct:

The Sartirano familys wine business was founded in 1871, but it was only in the 1950,s that they started to develop the domestic market outside Piemonte, selling their wines in 54L barrels. In 2001 the family purchased 8 hectares of land in the middle of the Barolo region where they have built a new 5,000 square metre winery with modern vinification and increased storage facilities. Grapes : 100% Nebbiolo grapes Region : Italy / Piemonte DOCG Maker : Paolo Sartirano Taste : Spices and dried flowers on the nose; smooth and mouth-filling with sweet tannins. An exceptional Barolo, ageing beautifully over the coming years! Serve : At 18-20°C with braised and grilled meats, game, stews and mature cheese. ABV : 14%
