Barolo Oberto 91js 2007

Winemaker's Notes:

"The 2007 Barolo is a terrific, entry-level bottling. I especially like the way the tannins retain an element of firmness and freshness that balances the radiance of the year. Bright red fruit, flowers and mint are woven together nicely on the focused, pointed finish. This should continue to drink well over the next decade or so. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2020...Andrea and Fabio Oberto don’t get anywhere near the attention they deserve for their superb Baroli....91." WA 10/11

Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Layered Rice Pudding

RiceSelect's fragrant Jasmati® is blended with eggs, milk and fall's favorite spices, cinnamon and nutmeg, to create a delicious rice pudding, which is layered on top of fluffy cream cheese and abuttery pecan crust. Pairs well with a bold, tawny port with flavors of dried fruits, nuts, and spices.
