The origins of the Damilano farming company date back to over a centry ago, when Giuseppe Borgogno, the great-grandfather og the current owners, started to grow and make wine from his own grapes. This tradition was kept up by Giacomo Damilano, the founder's son-in-low, together with his children until it passed on to his four grandchildren, who very attentively manage their forefather's land today. Has wonderful aromas of plum, strawberry and dried porcini. Medium- to full-bodied, with fine tannins and a subtle, fruity finish. Best after 2010.
