Winemaker's Notes:

Despite the popularity of the vintage, we've managed to pick up a few ofDavide's sought after 2004s. This, as he keeps reminding me, is no 'ordinary'Barolo, for amongst their Serralunga vineyards used in this blend is one CostaBella; a tiny strip of vineyard on the way into Baudana, Serralunga, planted along time ago and now producing tiny clusters of Nebbiolo that bear more than apassing resemblance to a Richebourg...he wishes! But as part of the blend, itadds a profundity and lushness, making this benchmark, Vosne-esque Barolo greatto drink even now, but best left till 2011. Beef would be best. (David Berry Green, BBR Buyer)
