Wine Spectator stated "2003 Barolos are outstanding … full of richness, freshness and delicious fruit." And this is a prime example from Bruno Cordero. Cordero, a master at creating this awesome Nebbiolo wine of tremendous longevity. A fourth generation winemaker, he has crafted a wonderfully deep and fragrant Barolo with a voluptuously rich nose (tar, spices and licorice) plus full, plum and berry flavors. If you cellar this big brooding red for 5-10 years, or enjoy it now by giving it plenty of time to breathe (1/2-1 hour). That will allow the enticing complex flavors to emerge.
