Barnsole Vineyard Red Reserve 2006

Member Review by Anna Savino:

Was very surprised to visit a winery on my trip to England. I particularly enjoyed this wine which is made up of Rondo and Regent red grapes and a type of pinot noir called precoce. The color was ruby red, aromas of blackberry jam and slight mint. Nice acidity, light-medium bodied, smooth berry finish. A real surprise!

Barnsole Vineyard:
Visitors are most welcome to this family run vineyard, which currently extends over an area of 3 acres (1.2 hectares), a size that still allows close attention to detail so as to produce high quality graoes. The Vineyard was planted in the spring of 1993 after some 16 years of research and experimentation as to which grape varieties and growing system would best suit this area.
