Congratulations to the wine producers at Barkan that decided to make this wine their centerpiece instead of using it as a blend! It is so fantastic on its own. The wine starts with a spice, and moves immediately into a raspberry, cherry and chocolate blend that is perfectly balanced. The small Petit Verdot finish, with great oak and coconut touch makes this wine linger a drop longer on the tongue than expected. It's a GREAT under $25 bottle. Perfectly paired with a light, gamey meat or chicken, or a heavy pasta dish.
