Winemakers Notes

This wine is a blend of true Portugusese grape varieties. The grapes were grown att he St. Amant vineyard in Amador County, in the Sierra Foothills. Here the climate of long warm Summer days and nights maximize the sugar levels. This is so important in the production of port. The wine is dark purple with flavors of blackberry jam, cassis and tobacco. The finish lingers with hints of Seville orange. This is a very enjoyable dessert wine.
