Winemaker Notes Make an Impression... This 2004 Dry Creek Valley Meritage marks the newest addition to the Barefoot Reserve Sonoma County line of wines. Barefoot Reserve Meritage is a blend of Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. Experience the enticing scents of blackberry and clove. Creamy vanilla flavors complement the mild tannins and the rich, lingering finish. Barefoot Reserve Meritage grapes were hand picked and transferred into French oak barrels following primary fermentation. Food and Wine Pairing: Meritage is perfect with beef and lamb, pork and veal dishes, swordfish, poultry, pasta with pesto or tomato sauce, and cheddar and havarti cheeses.
