Barefoot Pinot Noir 2012
A bit dirty on the nose with an autumnal quality, very damp tea leaves and slightly oxidized chocolate tone. This is better in the mouth: light and fresh, and actually fairly nice, if subtle, Pinot. Very simple but with a touch of tannin, good acidity, a nice edge of complexity from the lightly oxidized fruit adding a hint of complexity, with a very light bitter edge to the simple red currant fruit. The tannins turn a bit firmer on the modest finish but this is perfectly serviceable wine. 83ptsAdd winemaker's notes

enjoyed this wine. a real surprise, and goes great with tacos.
boozy, dry, currants, harsh alcohol finish. no complaints, especially for the price.
Seriously, at this price there can not be any complaints over this wine. I have had wines a lot worse than this that were four or five times the price. For a mid week pizza wine, with your feet up watching the game or Mad Men this is perfect. I was really afraid that it was going to be sweet or sugary but this was a pleasant surprise. Nice dark fruit and decent on the mid palate. Don't be expecting any great after taste, but at this price it gets an extra half mark.
Somewhat harsh on the nose and finish. Strong Cherry and spice with barely perceptible vanilla. Good for the price but not life changing.
berries, long after taste, warm smell, more bite than others, another Barefoot wine that has good value
Fisrt of all, it has to be said that if you find californian Pinot Noir , you have to immediatly doubt the quality of the wine . Pinot Noirs are not very good in California or in all of the Mexican wine zone . Pinot Noir need a Cold harsh weather . California and Mexico have tried to develop this wines , but they have not been very succesful at it . Then again , I have to say that this wine is not that bad. Although I would still recommend Oregon wines , this one has a great purple color , with a great aroma (smells like grapes and berries) . The taste is great at first . Smooth and silky. The problem is the aftertaste. It has an unbalanced tanine flavor at the end. I would recommend to let this oxidyze overnight poured in a decanter in order to enjoy it better . Now ... it is about 10 bucks ... so ... it is not that bad for the price you are paying (a good Pinot Noir should be about 30 buscks) .

Barefoot Pinot Noir is a medium bodied wine with tantalizing flavors of ripe cherry and wild raspberry. Hints of Vanilla and spice complement a smooth lingering finish.
This newest varietal has a silky blend of dark cherry and hints of raspberry complement the aromas of brown spices making it a favorite choice for any occasion. - Winery
A bubble-gummy, raspberry granola-flavored wine thatandrsquo;s soft and silky and dry. Itandrsquo;s a good example of Pinot Noir at its most basic level.
