Food Pairings for Barefoot Moscato
I have just recently started trying Muscats so I am by far not an expert, but I find this wine light, sweet, and a little fruity. This is a nice wine to sip on your porch on a hot day.
I love this wine! This is what I always imagined wine should taste like. I love my wine sweet and this didn't disappoint. I use is as a treat after dinner.
I tried a different Moscato at the OG and really liked it, so I figured why not try another one. I'm new to all this wine stuff, but I thought this to be a pretty good mellow wine. Not as harsh as the few other wines I've had in the past.
Rather good Moscato; it's a crisp and fruity wine. A favorite in our household.
I love this wine, it's light and fruity. Medium sweet and lovely to sit and sip with friends.
This is a delicious sipping wine. Smooth, fruity and sweet. One of my top favorites. I would most likely pick this wine over any others in my collection because it is so easy on the palate and easy on the budget.
A nice fizzy spumante at a bargain price! - Tasted at Lee's Wine Experience 11/7/09
External Reviews for Barefoot Moscato
We are generally not big fans of Italian Pinot Grigio, which is often watery and charmless. U.S. wines called Pinot Grigio can have the same problem, though we have better luck with U.S. wines called Pinot Gris, which is the same grape. We had a terrific Pinot Gris from J Vineyards & Winery at Disney World recently (2007 Russian River Valley; $60 at Wolfgang Puck Café at Downtown Disney) that had hints of earthy honeydew melon, with some weight. It had a certain clarity of fruit and some richness and it was really pleasing and satisfying. In a tasting of American Pinot Grigio/Pinot Gris last year, Barefoot Cellars was one of our favorites. We tried it again for this tasting in magnum size and, once again, thought it was a real winner, especially for the price. It’s fleshy and peachy, with some weight and true white-grape tastes. We’d pair it with more-flavorful, more-complex summer dishes, like salads with all sorts of toppings, and pastas.
Barefoot Bubbly Pink Moscato is sweet and juicy with explosive aromas and flavors. Best served chilled, this bubbly has aromas and flavors of jasmine and Mandarin orange complemented by red raspberry, strawberry and pomegranate. Enjoy the creamy and juicy finish! Barefoot Bubbly Pink Moscato is terrific with food and amazing by itself! Enjoy with fruit kebabs, caramelized onion bruschetta or spicy cuisine. Perfect with cheesecake with red raspberry drizzle or strawberry tartlets. Enjoy with friends!
Made in the easy, crisp and affordable style that has made this variety so popular, this Pinot Grigio has fruity flavors of peaches, apricots, apples, pineapples, tangerines and vanilla, with a spicy, honeyed finish.
Offers distinctive notes of orange marmalade, joined by accents of lemon pie and spice. Have a glass for dessert. Drink now.
Aromas of Mandarin orange and sweet jasmine crash into each other to create a deliciously sweet sea of pink goodness. Subtle flavors of cherry, raspberry, and pomegranate wash ashore in the flavorful experience. - Winery
Floral and perfumey on the nose with concentrated flavors of apple, pear, and spice; light to medium bodied with a balanced, fruity finish. Green salad.
Delicious mouth-watering flavors of juicy peach and apricot. Hints of lemon and orange citrus complement a crisp, refreshing finish. Barefoot Moscato is perfect with spicy Asian cuisine, light desserts, fresh fruit, and mild cheeses.
Delightfully sweet with lush fruity aromas. Hints of citrus skip across flavors of juicy peach and ripe apricots. A bright, crisp finish dances in at the end. It’s a bit sweeter than our Riesling.
