Pretty darn good for the price. Medium acidity, nice round oakiness, buttery and red apples.
i have been hit hard by this enimic economy, i bought the barefoot chardonay on a friends advice, he saw a couple drinking it and gave it a good review. i took my bottle and placed it on an iron can filled with snow form outside, open it, let it chill for 20 minutes. the taste, was a magnificent entrance to a soft velvety red carpet of flavors. It starts with the grapefruit then apple, and then the hint of vanilla right around the corner, and it leaves with a lingering texture of caramel honey that begs for another taste the second the last drop is gone. i forgot about the price for 10 seconds, all i could think about was the glorious taste or this unexpected specimen that came out of no where. Barefoot chardonay 2006, "a delight, with the lingering honey and apple taste of a chicago skyline sunset"
It's acidic, for sure, and dry. I don't mind that, but there wasn't much going on on the back of the tongue.
