Superb wine, superbly vinified and balanced, with lots of complexity. A bit closed - intrinsically difficult to get into – needs longer breathing time, and maybe even decanting. Deeply dark maroon/cherry colour. Nose of red berry/currant not overwhelmed by oak. Palate of red currant, coffee, tobacco, hints of liquorice and menthol – a “dark” flavour. There is a long finish carrying both fruit and tannin. The close integration of the finish now raises questions on how long until this peaks. A food wine – great for a big steak. You can feel the passion in the winemaking

A superb red, created and released only in exceptional vintages such as 1991, 1995, 1998, and 2005 based on Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and other Bordeaux varietals. The massive tannin structure is tamed by extended aging in French oak barrels. Dark in color with a superb aroma of plum, cassis and tobacco, its complex flavors are well integrated with a silky finish.Blend of: Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc
