Barbera d'Asti Superiore 2010

Member Review by GinaRichard:

The nose has really bright cherries, hints of vanilla and an earthy back drop That acidity is pronounced It tastes juicy and lively. I get black cherry and blackberry flavors coming through, it gets richer. I start getting some vanilla, oaky tones and then it turns rich and chocolately to me as well. I am pairing this with veal Marsala because it has been aged in oak, which softens the acidity just a bit; and the earth tones compliment the mushrooms really well.
