What to Expect

Barbera is one of the classic Grapes of Italy's Piedmont region, though it is popular throughout much of Northwest Italy and has gained a following in California. Searing acidity has been a trait of Barbera though modern viticultural techniques and warmer regions have tamed the acidity, resulting in medium-bodied wines with bright, red fruit tones that feature hints of violets, earth and plum with just a whisper of tannin.

This very traditional bottle has all the qualities we love to see in a Barbera: great, tangy, food-friendly acidity, lively cherry fruit on the nose, and a burst of mouthwatering tannin on the finish.
