Mascarello's rarest wine, only 1000 bottles are made from the tail end of the Monprivato vineyard. The vines are minimum 70 years old. As this is a prime spot for the production of Nebbiolo spot, the wine with age takes on Nebbiolo caracteristic's. Soil is silty and calcareous, packed with active limestone composed of blue-grey marl of marine formations. This is the greatest traditional Barbera period.
