Barbera da Vine 2007

Member Review by WJTronoski:

True to form for a Barbera - medium bodied with a high acid content, but still well balanced. I got an aroma of leather. We had this with a pretty heavy lasagna dish and it went great. The acid level of the wine helped cut through the heaviness of the dish. And the flavor went really well.

Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Coconut Rice Sweet Potato Cheesecake

RiceSelect's creamy Arborio gets blended with sweet potato, coconut milk and vanilla to create this decadent cheesecake. Pairs well with Saunternes; a white dessert wine that has hints of coconut from aging in oak barrels.
