Winemaker's Notes:

The Barbera grapes of this wine come from the vineyard Vallia owned by Dezzani family,situated in Cocconato.The maximum production/hectare is 70 quintala.After the selected manual harvest at the beginning of October,Barbera grapes are vinified:long maceration at controlled temperature of 24°C. and eging period of 12 month in oak barrel.The color is intense ruby red.The perfume is elegant,complex and persistent, with scents of blackberry and vanilla;goudron and green pepper.It s flavour is ample and of full body;In mounth it is harmonius,sapid and with significant structure.The unique character of IL Dragone -Barbera d Asti Superiore D.O.C.-makes it the ideal wine not only with meat,but also with first important course,seasoned cheese,starters and pizza.
