Barbaresco Valeirano La Spinetta(2001)

Dark garnet red in color. Intense, fruity, spicy nose with licorice notes. On the palate, it is full bodied with a persistent finish.
100% Nebbiolo. Alcoholic fermentation for 7-8 days in rotofermenters at controlled temperature. Full malolactic in oak. Aged entirely in new, medium toasted French oak for 20 – 22 months. Racked into stainless steal vats for 3 months before bottling. Further bottle aging for 12 months. No filtration or clarifying.
