What to Expect

Vermentino, also known as Rolle in France, commonly comes from the island of Sardinia off the coast of Italy, where it produces light white wines redolent of lemon and lime leaves with an almost salty mineral twang.

Quite intense mineral, almond, pear and light spiced white peach fruit on the nose. This is lovely and balanced on the nose. Good acids, a touch grapey fruit, quite grapey in fact but with lemon shaded juicy Asian pear notes that are rich and satisfying. Finishes with a touch of raspy mineral, a hint of gooseberry and surprising length. A delicious wine perfect for casual sipping and light fair. 88pts

Dry, with light clay and herbal aromas adorned with a hint of stone fruits. It's clean and dry with a hint of spice, a bit of a bitterness that is green, like pine nettles, and pleasant.

Quince and almonds on the nose. Very crisp and mineral. There's a subtle oiliness (almost creaminess) to the wine, which gives it good character. Spice on the tart finish. Very food friendly, enjoyed it with pasta in a pancetta and tomato sauce.

Also, this wine held us exceptionally well in the fridge, and was still good 4 days later.
