RiceSelect™ Arborio Rice has a naturally creamy texture, which makes it the perfect choice for risotto dishes and Sangiovese Wines
Food Pairings for Banfi Col-di-Sasso
great frutiy Italian red sauce food wine
Overall tasted a little like fruit punch with some pepper sprinkled on top. The aromas were very ripe red berries with some smokiness. Very light red wine but the tannins were easy. Paired very well with Taco Bell late night dinner.
A youthful wine, can benefit from aging.
External Reviews for Banfi Col-di-Sasso
Production Area: Tuscany, Italy. Grape Varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon and Sangiovese. Description: Ruby red, with purple hues. Black cherry and spice aromas. Rich taste with soft tannins, delivering persistent black-fruit flavors and subtle hints of smoke, with a lingering finish. Col di Sasso, which translates to "Stony Hill," is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Sangiovese grapes cultivated in hillside vineyards in the southern part of Tuscany. The Cabernet imparts bold flavor and body, while the Sangiovese adds zesty fruit and structure. A relatively brief maceration (6-8 days) at 75-77˚F allows for good color extraction while maintaining aromatic freshness and tannic structure. Col di Sasso is a youthful red to be enjoyed with pizza, pasta, grilled meat and poultry. - Winery
