Notes on the Ballentine Vnds Zinfandel Port Napa Vly 2003 500 Ml : WINEMAKER NOTES: Raspberries, cranberries and red apple along with hints of cracked black pepper engage the nose. Our Zin can be gregarious about its toasty oak notes of vanilla and caramel while remaining delicate about the subtle scents of rose petals. The palate is full bodied, and rounded through to the finish. Fresh berries and baking spices hit the palate first. The oak shows peaks through the fruit with rich toasty qualities and layers of tannin. The finish of the wine has flavors of warm blueberry pie.BALLENTINE VNDS ZINFANDEL PORT NAPA VLY 2003 500 ML

Ballentine Vineyards:
Ballentine Vineyards focuses on red varietals; Zinfandel, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Syrah. Each vineyard supports our belief that it is vital to grow only those varieties that are best suited to particular aspects of the land; soil, exposure and climate. The grapes used for our wines are all 100% estate grown on 100 acres, from three distinct vineyards in the Napa Valley. Van Ballentine personally manages each vineyard.
