The Chianti Classico Riserva Badia a Coltibuono when it is still young is an intense ruby red color but as it matures it gradually develops brick hues. It has a well-balanced acidity with a fruity and persistent aftertaste on the palate that blends well with spicy notes of oak. If well cellered it can undertake a long period of ageing in the bottle.
