Badger Mountain Riesling Columbia Valley 2017

External Review by We Speak Wine:

TASTING NOTES: This wine boasts layered complex aromas of pear, apricot, and mandarin fruit, along with a slight touch of gardenia on the nose. These intriguing aromas lead into a wine that is balanced with a nice blast of bright fruit flavors on the palate and zesty acidity. Tastes of pear, bright tropical fruits, green apple, fresh nectarine and a hint of orange peel linger on the palate and work themselves into a nice savory finish. BLEND/VINEYARD INFO: 100% Organic Riesling 65% Badger Mountain Estate Vineyard Riesling, Columbia Valley 35% Areté Vineyard Riesling, Wahluke Slope WINEMAKER’S NOTES: We continue to make our Riesling in a style which most perfectly reflects the delicate flavors of the grape. We pick the grapes in the cool of the night, which allows the fruit to be delivered in optimum condition. With this harvest in late October and early November, we were able to achieve intense, pure fruit flavors while retaining great acidity and balance. All of the lots were cold fermented in upright stainless-steel tanks with Elegance yeast. Alcohol: 12.5% pH: 3.30 Residual Sugar: 0.08%

Bright and crisp notes of Granny Smith apple and lime zest, layer with a citrus blossom finish on the nose of this off dry Riesling. Delicate tangerine and mineral on the palate, with a nuance of asian pear and subtle spice. This wine has a medium finish. Pair with feta and your favorite crackers. - Winery

Bursting with delightful aromas of mandarin oranges and kiwi fruit. Half of this wine comes from the Badger Mountain Estate Vineyard including the unctuous 5% of Muscat Canelli. The flavors add blood oranges and asian pear to the blend. Bright and crisp, this acidic wine is the perfect accompaniment to spicy asian fare, pork and chicken, as well as a pleasure to enjoy on its own. - Winery
