Badger Mountain Riesling Columbia Valley 2016

External Review by We Speak Wine:

TASTING NOTES: This wine boasts a layered fragrance of pineapple, lemon, tropical fruits, along with a slight touch of mineral on the nose. These enticing aromas lead into a wine that is balanced with zesty acidity and a nice explosion of bright fruit flavors on the palate. Tastes of lemon zest, bright tropical fruits, white peach with nectarine hightones, and a hint of orange peel linger on the palate and work themselves into a nice, slightly savory finish. WINEMAKER’S NOTES: We continue to make our Riesling in a style which most perfectly reflects the delicate flavors of the grape. We harvest in the cool of the night which allows the fruit to be delivered in optimum condition. With a harvest date of Novemember 11th for both lots used in this blend, we were able to achieve pure fruit flavors while retaining great acidity and balance in the fruit. All of the lots were cold fermented in upright stainless steel tanks with Elegance yeast during the fermantation process. Alcohol: 12.5% pH: 3.30 Residual Sugar: 0.65%
