Badger Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon Columbia Valley 2017

External Review by We Speak Wine:

Tasting Notes: Dark and rich aromas of cherries, cranberry, concord, and a touch of spice on the nose lead into a nice richness on the palate. Fresh fruit notes and youthful flavors of black cherry, plum, and dark chocolate with a touch of spice, this Merlot has a great finish that is balanced with medium tannins and a nice touch of acidity. Blend/Vineyard Info: * 100% Certified Organic Cabernet Sauvignon * 78% Michaels Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon, Wahluke Slope * 12% Rivercrest Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon, Columbia Valley * 10% Badger Mountain Estate Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon, Columbia Valley Winemaker Notes: All the components from this great Cabernet Sauvignon were harvested in late October to the end of November. We achieved optimal ripeness in the fruit during this great extended growing season. All the lots were fermented in upright stainless-steel fermenters with PDM yeast, with 100% malolactic fermentation was completed in stainless steel tanks. Acidity: .64 Alcohol: 13.5% pH: 3.80 Residual Sugar: Dry

With great aromatics of dried plum, black currant, and a slight touch of pink peppercorn, this wine leans to the dark fruit side of the scale. The palate explodes with richness and complexity including flavors of black cherry, currant, and dark raspberry. The fruit carries to a very well balanced finish that lingers on this lovely wine. - Winery BLEND/VINEYARD INFO 100% Certified Organic Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Syrah 84% Michaels Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon, Wahluke Slope 8% Arete Vineyard, Cabernet Vineyard, Wahluke Slope 4% Pleasant Vineyard Merlot, Yakima Valley 4% Pleasant Vineyard Syrah, Yakima Valley Alcohol: 13.5% pH: 3.89 Residual Sugar: 0.00

Friendly and forward aromas of freshly baked bread that has been smothered with berry preserves. ese juicy flavors continue on the palate and are joined by cola, cherries and nutmeg. A bit of eucalyptus arrives delicately wrapped in vanilla ice cream. All of these flavors linger patiently long after wine is gone. Perfectly bold (but not too much) packed with wonderful fruit flavors and sweet tannins. - WineryAlcohol: 13.5% pH: 3.79Residual Sugar: 0.00Cases Made: 2240 ** SOLD OUT **
