This hybrid of the Pinot Noir and Cinsault varieties has deservedly gained its own esteemed reputation, Backsberg shows us why in their 07 expression. This red cries out for marinated ribs, slow-cooked over charcoal.
Bright, dark red. Pungent aromas of strawberry, smoke and spices. Juicy and intense, with a slightly higher pitch but less forthcoming fruit and less pliancy than the Kosher bottling. This one has more structure but less immediate appeal and finishes distinctly firmer.
