Winemaker's Notes:

Winemaking: Entirely produced from the Merlot grape variety, grown in calcareous clay soils found at a vineyard on the gentle slopes of Azeitao. The combination of the location of these vines, the soil in which they grow, and the climatic conditions of the Arrabida region allow one to obtain this grape variety which has a strong local personality. The Merlot grapes ripened and were harvested in the first week of September, followed by a classic fermentation, which was slow and controlled. Ageing: 16 months in new French Allier oak casks. Tasting notes: It presents very ripe fruit notes, almost fruit preserve, combined with chocolate and spices. In the mouth, it is full, with very ripe fruit and fine tannic elegance, a firm style, giving it a complex and very persistent structure.
