Babich Chardonnay Hawkes Bay Unoaked 2007

Editorial Review by Gregory Dal Piaz:

Crisp and lean with green apple and citrus tones on the nose and a lovely small core of like fruit held in place by vibrant acidity that leads to a moderately long finish. Great for a picnic. 87pts

Light green apples on the nose, leading to a delicate mineral wine with a lot of creaminess. The finish surprised me with a lot of spice, that was almost anise in character.
