Rating: 88/100 - As reviewed by Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wine (www.cgcw.com) in the October 2010 issue. Well-defined ripe-cherry fruit is overlain by lots of creamy, close- to-buttery oak in both the aromas and flavors of this rich, nicely mannered effort, and, while smooth and silky in feel, the wine is firmed by finely fit acidity at the finish. Its principal strengths are accessibility and polish, and, if not the deepest nor the most complex Pinot to be had, it is a thoroughly enjoyable one with room for a few years of growth.Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wine aging recommendation: Drinkable now. Further bottle aging can improve this wine.
